Test Site Arrests |
Nevada Desert Experience continued the tradition of New Years line crossing at the Nevada nuclear weapons test site. As the new year arrived, about 30 people were arrested as they stepped across the line.
In March, at the conclusion of a gathering honoring 70 years of the Catholic Worker movement, rain-drenched Workers from Las Vegas and several California communities entered the test site gate. Sixteen were cited for trespass and released.
