- Seattle

A protest of U.S. military aid to Israel and Israel's military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza began with dozens marching to the Seattle Federal Building on May 10. Some of the signs read "Free Trevor", a reference to Seattle resident Trevor Baumgartner, at that time eight days into a hunger strike while in Israeli custody. (Baumgartner, one of many international observers arrested in the occupied territories, was eventually deported.)

As the marchers approached the building, one group sat down in the street with a large banner, blocking traffic. Supporters chanted support from the sidewalks, and leafletted pedestrians and motorists. Police eventually responded, arresting 11. The eleven were taken to the police station and released. No charges have been filed.
