The annual Good Friday peace rally drew about 270 people to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, east of Oakland, California. Song and dance, speeches and scripture filled the program. Among the speakers, Laura Magnani of the American Friends Service Committee spoke on "Nuclear Weapons, Prisons and the Death Penalty." The event concluded with the arrest of 66 people who stepped across the line as a witness for nuclear disarmament. All were cited and released, and prosecution is not expected.
