Alliant Tech
Eighty people marched to the entrance of Alliant Techsystems military ammunition factory in Edina, Minnesota, on November, 7, a single-file procession for peace. Before marching, the group had gathered at a nearby parking lot and reaffirmed their commitment to nonviolence, a commitment expressed weekly at the site by the demonstration sponsors, AlliantAction.

Upon reaching the factory, some people walked onto the property. When they did not heed the warning of local police, sixteen people, ranging in age from 20-73, were arrested. All were taken to the police station, cited for trespass and released pending arraignment November 27.

Updating an earlier action at Alliant, the neighboring city of Hopkins, Minnesota, has dropped charges against twelve people arrested there May 30, just before the war industry moved its facility to Edina.
