Three women served time in jail recently, following their arrest December 4 at British Aerospace's factory (formerly Lockheed-Sanders) in Nashua, New Hampshire. Ruth McKay, Hattie Nestle, and Dade Singapuri were arrested during an annual demonstration at the plant, which manufactures electronic components for war machines. In Nashua District Court on December 12, McKay, at age 81 a weekly vigiler at the plant for many years, pleaded no contest to trespass and disorderly conduct. She refused to pay a $260 fine and served 10 days in jail instead.

On January 8, Nestle and Singapuri both pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct charges, refused to pay the fine, and instead served six days each in jail.
