How to Support the Kings Bay Plowshares

Continue the Witness Against Trident

2. Organize a support potluck or party. Here a few ideas: Have a member of the Kings Bay Plowshares support team speak. Write postcards to the Kings Bay Plowshares in jail. Show the movie about the plowshares movement, The Nuns, The Priests, and the Bombs. https://nunspriestsbombsthefilm.com/
3. Support the ongoing work of regional groups such as Georgia WAND. https://gawand.org. Georgia WAND’s mission is to educate the public and opinion leaders about the need to reduce violence and militarism in society, and redirect excessive military spending to unmet human and environmental needs.
4. Promote the ICAN treaty for nuclear abolition in your community. To learn more: http://www.icanw.org. They won the Nobel Peace Prize!
a. Organize around the Don’t Bank on the Bomb

b. Have a crane folding party. Send the cranes to Nikki Haley and other leaders along with a message asking them to support the ICAN treaty for nuclear abolition. Learn more visit: http://www.icanw.org/projects/paper-crane-project/
5. Organize a group read of Martin Luther King’s book From Chaos to Community and form a community of action.
6. Provide financial support for travel and legal support expenses
