Jeju naval base protester began hunger strike at start of 18 month jail sentence
Yang Yoon-Mo, a movie critic and one of the prominent opponents against the Jeju naval base project in South Korea, was directly arrested and jailed from court on February 1, 2013. He continues with a hunger strike he started at the beginning of his prison sentence.

Ten days in prison for Vandenberg AFB backcountry action
On February 21, L.A. Catholic Worker Theo Kayser appeared in federal court in Santa Barbara, California.  He pled guilty to trespass for his backcountry action at Vandenberg Air Force Base on October 22 and was sentenced to 10 days in prison.  Kayser began his sentence on February 25.

Two women arrested at Faslane Trident base
In the early hours of Monday, 3rd February, two peace activists – Sylvia Boyes and Mary Millington – were arrested attempting to enter Faslane, home to the UK’s nuclear submarines.  They were charged with criminal damage for cutting the fence and spraypainting, and released.

Nine arrested at Ash Wednesday drone protest in NY
Around 3:30 p.m. on February 13, Ash Wednesday, 9 individuals were arrested by DeWitt Police and Onondaga County Sheriffs for peaceably blocking the main entrance to Hancock Air Base on East Molloy Rd. in the town of DeWitt, a Syracuse, NY suburb.  Hancock is the regional hub for the hunter/killer Reaper drone deployed over Afghanistan, Pakistan and, increasingly, elsewhere.

Anti-nuclear activists block gate at Vermont’s Entergy headquarters
After a parade through downtown Brattleboro with signs, banners, noisemakers, and mock coffins containing mock radioactive fuel rods, fourteen Shut-It-Downers made their way to Entergy headquarters on Old Ferry Road, where they blocked the main entrance before Brattleboro police arrested them for trespass.

Imprisoned drone protester Brian Terrell writes from FPC Yankton
Dear Friends,
Greetings from the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton, South Dakota! As of this writing, I am two months into a six month sentence imposed due to my protest of war crimes committed by remote control from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri against the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
